Truckers' Request Virtual Trials

BCTA asks province to allow e-defence for truckers challenging tickets. " LANGLEY, B.C. (Dec. 2, 2004) -- On behalf of long-haul truckers who've been handcuffed in fighting tickets far from home, the BC Trucking Association has written John Les, Minister Responsible for Deregulation Initiative, in an attempt to get the government to allow truckers to challenge traffic tickets electronically. . ."

Coding Video Depositions

New Release of TimeCoder Pro Software Improves the Usefulness of Digital Video Depositions

TimeCoder Pro v4.1. "This new software version offers litigators and service bureaus an automated alternative to the tedious and time consuming manual method of time stamping video transcripts. TimeCoder Pro automatically synchronizes, video-to-text, rendering a crisp digital video deposition, with a synchronized, closed-caption transcript for powerful courtroom presentations.

TimeCoder Pro v4.1 applies advanced audio mining technologies to digitized video; a process that involves speech recognition and pattern recognition to automatically line-up, or stitch together the printed transcript with the video. The automation level in this new version allows law firms and service bureaus to set up multiple video volumes for synchronization, and walk away leaving the software to do the work. Version 4.1 automation improves throughput two to four times that of the labor-intensive manual methods, and works around the clock with reliable efficiency, and minimal oversight."
